Cambodia reconfirms not to extradite former Thai PM Thaksin

Cambodian Foreign Minister Hor Nam Hong on Wednesday announced that Cambodia will not extradite former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin even ruling Thai government issued a verdict to arrest him.
Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin is an advisor to the Cambodian government and economic advisor to Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen. Therefore he could come to visit Cambodia anytime that he wants,” Hor Nam Hong told reporters at his office.

The reconfirmation from Cambodian government occurred after Thai government led by Prime Minister Abhisit released the verdict to arrest Thaksin and that verdict was sent to Interpol in 187 countries.
Thaksin was accused by Thai government of committing terrorism acts, violence, building ruins in Bangkok recently during the clashes between police authorities and Red shirt protesters that is mainly supported for Thaksin.
